Job Description
This position supports quality inspection and objectives of the organization in a management capacity by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop, implement, and coordinate product assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products, either personally or through subordinates. Tasks and assignments tend to be complex and non-routine, requiring a high level of expertise. Duties are performed under limited supervision, with assignments given in the form of objectives and goals.
Responsibilities
This position is based in Hunt Valley, MD, responsible for building Fuel Cells & Hydrogen Generation equipment for various applications, including government customers, steel manufacturing/power plants, space exploration, and underwater vehicles. The work environment involves the use of advanced technologies and equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

Responsibilities
- Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, identifying and resolving problems, completing audits, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
- Meet quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures, and monitoring inventories.
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualifications, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
