How You Will Make an Impact:
- Leading and managing the accounting department, including general ledger, financial reporting, tax, treasury and audit functions.
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Monitoring and optimizing cash flow management
- Preparation of high-quality work papers with assistance from staff to support quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Evolving accounting guidance and maintaining comprehensive written technical documentation justifying accounting positions
- Management of external audit firm engagement and requests
- Diagnosing accounting positions, processes and control weaknesses
- Designing and implementing projects for self and team to remediating weaknesses identified
- Drafting presentations and presenting results to executive audiences to showcase results achieved
- Overseeing and supporting compliance with income, property and other tax regimes including reviewing annual returns and tax provision
- Providing strategic and day to day leadership of the accounting function for the organization. Exhibiting strong leadership through coaching, mentoring and engaging the team.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing development planning and learning opportunities to build a cohesive team.
- Maintaining transparent communication. Appropriately communicating organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communication.
- Identifying, recruiting, and retaining top-notch talent.
- Setting performance standards and supporting growth through delegation, continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance management.

- Providing oversight and direction to the team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What You will Bring to the Role:
- Generally, bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA or CMA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience managing audits and tax reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to explain difficult concepts and persuade others to adopt a point of view.
- Ability to make decisions - guided by policies, procedures, and technical knowledge - that impact the company's ability to meet performance objectives
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
