The UX/UI team have a passion for simplicity while solving complex problems, user-centered design, data concepts, data visualization, and Agile development. The team works alongside our product team to deliver innovative, simple user experience for marketing technology, big data and data visualization.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of User Experience (UX/UI) to join our platform team. In this strategic role, you will lead the design strategy and execution for a complex platform comprising multiple applications and AI capabilities, ensuring a seamless and cohesive user experience across diverse capabilities. You will lead a talented team of UX designers and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to align UI/UX design with the platform's vision and drive innovation in user experience. As the design authority for the platform, you will establish and maintain design consistency, improve user engagement, and introduce scalable design systems that accommodate evolving platform needs and prepare us for an AI-augmented future. You will be responsible for setting design standards, conducting user research, and fostering a user-centered design culture across the organization. We are looking for a person who will drive the evolution of our design capabilities to incorporate AI, ensuring that our platform remains at the forefront of technological advancements. We are looking for new and innovative solutions to present complex data and information in a very easy and intuitive way, making it accessible and engaging for our users.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
Compensation Range
$122,000-$175,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Design Strategy: Develop a unified design vision for the platform, aligning all application teams and contributors towards a cohesive user experience. Oversee the design and user interface of different capabilities while ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the overall platform.
- Design Systems Oversign and UI/UX Standards: Establish and oversee a framework for conceptualizing, storyboarding and producing design artifacts. Create style guides and conduct presentations/training sessions to communicate design standards. Maintain and evolve design standards and guidelines to be used across the platformby various capabilities and design agents. Develop reusable design components that ensure a consistent and scalable approach to design across all applications and capabilities. Prepare design system for agentic future.
- Team Management: Lead a team of internal product designers, including mentoring, coaching and addressing all development needsGuide and mentor junior designers and UI/UX teams, ensuring they adhere to best practices. Guide them to present their work, articulate decisions and gather feedback. Encourage innovation while maintaining design consistency across teams.
- User Research & Testing: Lead all consumer testing and experiments to inform and evaluate experiences. Create and manage power user communities that can be consulted on design decisions. Provide guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities, Conduct usability tests and user feedback sessions to continuously iterate and improve the design. Identify and understand current and emerging customer behaviors and technology trends
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with various teams to communicate design goals and ensure a user-centered approach is maintained throughout the product development lifecycle. Facilitate cross-team design reviews and workshops to align on design principles.
- R&D in Design Innovation: Maintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends, especially as AI is evolving software UIs. Stay up to date with industry trends in UI/UX and design technologies. Research and propose innovative design solutions to enhance the user experience across the platform.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- 10+ years of UI/UX design experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing design teams across multiple product areas or applications.
- Proven expertise in leading large-scale design projects involving complex platforms or multi-application environments. Ability to plan work and deliver the milestones on time.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a broad range of design skills, including interaction design, visual design, and user research.
- Experience with design systems development and maintaining consistent UI/UX across multiple applications.
- Curiosity and passion about AI/ML concepts and their implications for interface design
- Ability to organize documentation strategy and information access inside the UX discipline anf across the other functions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders/ Ability to work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business and user requirements into impactful design solutions.
- Expertise in user-centered design processes and usability testing methodologies.
- Experience in mentoring and growing design teams, fostering a collaborative, creative, and user-focused environment.
- Proficiency in UI/UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and usability testing platforms.
