Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Salary: $120,000 - $155,000
Summary:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for performing engineering duties related to creating, developing, designing, and improving corporate products. Provides engineering consultation as requested/required to engineering, sales, and manufacturing. Works with the Engineering Manager to meet organizational objectives for engineering activities.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering calculations using in-house spreadsheets, programs, and computer-aided structural software.
Ensure that structural analysis, drawings, and calculations are completed in a timely manner as required on engineered Projects.
Ensure that products are designed to applicable specs, codes, and design standards.
Support the sales team by providing technical engineering services on quotes and new opportunities.
Monitor changes in codes and specifications and analyze the impact on the Company's product line.
Assist in the training and educating the internal and external sales force regarding engineering issues, practical application of engineering principles in the sales process, plant capabilities and procedures, product knowledge, and application information.
Duties may be changed as necessary at the discretion of the CEO/CFO and President.
Understand and execute the corporate Mission and Values.
Utilize engineering best practices to maintain quality and structural standards.
Build teamwork between the Manufacturing department, Regional Managers, Inside Sales, Engineering department and other functional groups.
Represent company to external contacts in a professional manner.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in structural or mechanical engineering required. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years in structural engineering for metal related products in manufacturing, industrial, utilities, or construction engineering.
- Knowledge of structural applications for utilities structures, monopoles, lighting structures, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
