Description:
Amazon seeks a highly effective Senior Finance Analyst to be a key member on the Alexa Advertising Finance team. Alexa Advertising's mission is to bring disproportionate value to customers - end-users, publishers and advertisers - through ad-supported experiences. We unlock premium content and experiences from both Amazon and 3P developers through ad products that are seamless and natural for customers to use when interacting with the brands, products and services they choose. We lean into the advantages of Alexa as a smart instantly available assistant by creating advertising experiences and products that other environments cannot match, including contextual awareness, targeting and multi-turn interactivity. We increase customer's trust in Alexa by being transparent about our ad policies and building privacy-forward ad controls that build on Alexa's data policies and capabilities. This role will focus on Alexa Audio and Video Advertising products.
The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. The role also has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
-\tPartnership with Amazon Advertising's Business and Finance teams along with Alexa business and Alexa Finance
-\tBuild financial models/business cases on new monetization programs, new partnerships, growth initiatives, new product features, and productivity programs
-\tProvide insights and clarity on Alexa's Advertising P&L to leadership and stakeholders.
-\tSupport Alexa Advertising P&L forecasts produced for 3YF, OP1, OP2, and Quarterly Guidance.
-\tPartnering with product management and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence financial results
-\tDriving finance communication with partner teams on product performance and financial impact, including identification of risks and opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
