Hattie Larlham is looking for a caring and compassionate Nurse Manager who wants to be part of a mission based on Comfort, Joy, and Achievement for adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Location: Nestled in northern Portage County, between Cleveland and Akron, is the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities (Center), an intermediate care facility that provides medical services for 124 children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

The Hattie Larlham Nurse Manager manages a highly skilled team of RNs and LPNs along with two other Nurse Managers. The Nurse Managers work collaboratively with the Center's Medical Team to oversee the care of all residents. Provides guidance for continuous quality nursing services within the Center Nursing department. Assesses and identifies healthcare needs of persons served. Maintains compliance with standards of care and with applicable federal and state regulations.

What You'll Do:
  • Provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to Center Nursing staff in the delivery of care and services to meet the health needs of adult and pediatric residents.
  • Addresses staff performance issues in a professional, constructive, and timely manner, using the Corrective Action process to remediate issues and provide clear expectations for immediate improvement.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the Nursing Component of the Individual Service Plan.
  • Secure, obtain, and follow-up clinical documentation for prior authorization of insurance carrier.
  • Complete ventilator authorizations, tardive dyskinesia assessments, track IV Management, and laboratory services.
  • Provide hands-on care to residents during times when the need arises due to call-offs.
  • Participate in Nursing Leadership on-call rotation for one week per month for urgent matters.
  • Maintains compliance with standards of care and with applicable federal and state regulations.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Nursing required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ohio or multistate Registered Nurse licensure required, active status and without disciplinary action to maintain employment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' nursing experience. One to two years of nursing supervisor and/or management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
  • Ohio Driver's License.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift Monday to Friday and on-call rotation required.
