How will you make an impact in this role?
As part of the Financial Reporting Quality Assurance Organization within Corporate Controllership, this role is responsible for leading a team of professionals in our techno-functional Service Management team. This role is primarily responsible for managing critical day to day Financial Systems production support processes related to data collection and ingestion, validation, and transformation of data; processing and maintaining the underlying technology applications; managing the operational calendar, and providing end-to-end process coordination, and incident management. This role is also responsible for automated data aggregation and regulatory report generation for U.S Federal Reserve Bank Regulatory Reporting, Basel Regulatory Reporting, and Reserve Bank of India Regulatory Reporting.
This team has a holistic understanding of numerous data sources, processing & regulatory reports. This team also troubleshoots and resolves incidents related to these data sources and processing in various Finance technology systems. The individual in this role is required to have technological & financial mindset to ensure smooth operational process planning, job execution, monitoring & incident management.

Job Responsibilities
This manager role is responsible for ensuring that financial systems operational processes are properly tracked, executed, managed, and monitored. Responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage operational processes to ensure financial systems are working as intended, processes are running efficiently, and required controls and auditability is maintained.
- Leading a team of professionals with a focus on continuing to develop Fintech skills for the future and reduce dependability on Tech and Business partners to triage, perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents.
- Identify common themes of recurring incidents and drive permanent fixes by partnering with tech and business stakeholders.
- Focus on continuous improvement through process improvement and automation.
- Independently manage key stakeholders across multiple technology applications and Finance processes.
- Lead impact assessment of production changes to ensure runbook documentation is updated.
- Lead the creation, operationalization, and monitoring of process dashboards to keep the health of the process in check.
- Independently handle projects, document requirements and drive solution across multiple stake holders.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory, audit & control management requirements.
- Identification, documentation, and implementation of operational controls as per the PRSA guidelines. It will include periodic testing to ensure controls are effective.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in technology field required preferably in Computer Science. MBA is a plus.
- 8-10 years of work experience in Banking/Financial Services.
- 5-7 years of demonstrated experience leading the deployment of large financial systems, and/or implementing/managing a level 1 or level 2 production support process for financial systems.
- Advanced knowledge of relational database concepts and data management concepts; proficiency of SQL. Exposure to both traditional and modern data management technologies.
- Ability to take complex technical solutions and being able to communicate them in a simple and effective manner to leaders both in technology and the business.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile methodology and delivery concepts.
- Proven people leadership experience and ability to attract, engage and retain high caliber talent, building globally and culturally diverse teams and supporting global processes.
- Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills with a proven track of positively collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to communicate highly complex concepts and processes in simple terms and pragmatically across Finance, Business and Technology stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and results driven approach with an ability to convert strategic vision into clear project outcomes.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to handle a high-pressure environment and make decisions in challenging situations.
- A self-starter, proactive team player with a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed customers' expectations.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reports (Y9C, Y14, Y15, 2052a, amongst others), and general understanding of the banking products.
- Experience with accounting and reporting processes (including financial and regulatory reporting) is recommended.
- Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends, on a rotational basis.
Technical Skills & Knowledge of Platforms
- Advanced SQL skill for data analysis is required for troubleshooting production incidents.
- Strong knowledge on Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and experience of working on distributed systems like MySQL is required.
- Advanced knowledge of job scheduling tools (Airflow/Automic) is required.
- Experience with AxiomSL is recommended
- Prior experience of supporting distributed applications like Spark is preferred.
- Experience with Big Data frameworks (E.g., Hive, Hadoop, etc.) is recommended.
- Experience with Lombard Agile Risk Reporter Portal is recommended.
- Knowledge of Flink server is recommended.
- Experience on ServiceNow and Jira is recommended.
