This is a hybrid opportunity and this role requires onsite in-office presence approximately 1 to 3 days per week at our New York City office location.

The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $84,200 - $135,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Retain level of current premium/account volume; achieve projected premium via increased business through existing clients and targeted accounts; handle and service all accounts ascertaining that all proper coverages and statutory coverages are in place and offered to the client for all their exposures
- Actively network to generate new leads through community activities, industry activities, personal and industry contacts and through industry related trades & literature, association meetings with underwriters, etc.
- Identify the exposure of prospective clients and develop their coverages for marketing preparation; prepare specifications for proposal to the insured, specifically identifying improved/enhanced coverages, cost effectiveness and outlining our professional services.
- Handle complex processing of an account and assist Claims Department with any difficult situations that may arise with regard to interpretation or dispute of coverages
- Negotiate payment plan with clients; responsible for the collection of premiums and audits, endorsements and weekly or financed premiums, subsequent to policy issuance on renewal and new accounts
- Maintaining accounts in agency management system and network drive: schedules, checklists, recording and logging all communication with clients and underwriters, keeping all correspondence in date order, checking all policies, updating underwriting when necessary, and logging in all new business as well as lost business
- Attending renewal, production and other department meetings and underwriter meetings as set.
- Remarket existing accounts especially as economic conditions and industry may dictate
- Prepare full proposals in bidding and obtaining new accounts; Gather information, prepare market summary and following proposal/bid format of corporation
- Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director from time to time
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of Commercial brokerage experience (Entertainment exp. preferred)
- Valid NY state brokers' license
- Knowledge of agency management systems required, Sagitta and/or AMS 360 preferred
- Ongoing education regarding industry knowledge and changes
- Proficient in computer applications, esp. in Microsoft Office Suite
