The Opportunity

We're hiring a Life Sciences Recruiter to drive talent acquisition for our growing Biohubs in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. Use your strong network and expertise in academia and industry to develop strategic hiring plans, enhance our employer brand, and solve complex hiring challenges. What You'll Do
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation for life sciences roles
  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and attract highly skilled professionals in biotech, pharma, medical research, and healthcare through job boards, networking, career fairs, and academic partnerships
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Maintain a strong network of candidates across various levels, from entry-level researchers to senior scientific leaders
  • Early Career & Academic Program Development: Design and manage internship, fellowship, and rotational programs to support the growth and retention of emerging life sciences talent in academia and industry
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs and provide strategic hiring solutions
  • Candidate Engagement & Experience: Ensure an outstanding recruitment experience by streamlining processes and maintaining clear communication with candidates
  • Market Insights: Employ data analytics to monitor industry trends, academic hiring practices, and competitor strategies, enabling data-driven decisions that optimize recruitment efforts

What You'll Bring

Essential -
  • 3-5 years of life sciences recruitment experience, specializing in academia or biotech, with proven expertise in sourcing scientific, technical, and research talent
  • Ability to leverage data analytics to drive informed recruiting decisions and improve performance
  • Experience designing and managing early-career programs, such as internships, postdoctoral hiring, and academic-industry partnerships
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with universities, research institutions, and professional organizations
  • Skilled in program development and execution for talent acquisition in academic and industry settings
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, Workday, or Greenhouse
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with candidates and hiring teams
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple hiring initiatives simultaneously

Compensation

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $120,000.00 - $165,000.00. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
