Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a manufacturing environment? We're seeking a dynamic Plant Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our Madisonville, LA facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and aligning HR strategies with operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all plant HR activities including employee relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, training and development, and policy interpretation.
- Manage staffing levels through effective manpower planning and cost-efficient employment programs.
- Develop and execute employee retention and engagement strategies in collaboration with Plant Operations.
- Monitor and enhance employee relations climate; investigate complaints and resolve issues, including disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws, including EEO and Wage & Hour regulations.
- Administer corporate compensation and benefits programs, including performance appraisals and MBOs.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring consistent and fair application of all company policies.
- Develop and deliver training programs to support regulatory compliance and plant needs.
- Partner with operations to execute safety initiatives, the Emergency Response Plan, and reduce Workers' Compensation costs.
- Maintain accurate employee records including payroll, benefits, and personnel files.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on HR metrics and activities.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification a plus).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, training, and compensation administration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
