Description:
These roles with a financial services/commodities firm in the Chicago Loop. Both are in-office positions.
1) Deliveries Specialist
Responsibilities:
Processing both physical deliveries and cash settlements for all applicable cleared Futures contracts across all member markets that upon expiry are settled by actual physical delivery of the underlying commodity
Review customer and firm positions to ensure they comply with firm's delivery procedures
Monitoring and managing position limits as well as confirming and correcting position reporting as necessary
Effectively communicating notification of exercise and assignments as well as first and last notice dates
Assessing and confirming client capability to complete delivery in compliance with company and exchange rules
Monitoring long position in spot month for physically deliverable commodities
Managing option expirations and assignments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred (Finance/Economics/Business Administration a plus)
Prior experience in deliveries and/or futures operations
GMI, CME Deliveries Plus & Front End Clearing, ICE ECOPS experience a big plus
Knowledgeable of exchange delivery applications/registries and understanding of regulatory requirements for deliverable contracts
Strong work ethic; attention to detail; able to work in fast paced and deadline-driven environment; exceptional organizational and communications skills; excellent customer service skills
2) Reconciliations Analyst
Responsibilities:
Oversee futures/OTC/fee reconciliations; reconcile companies' position/settlements vs. clearing house/carrying brokers/affiliates/prime brokers; verify reported positions to exchanges/carry brokers/internal accounts/prime brokers to ensure compliance with regulatory organizations with escalation
Process balancing adjustments to accounts and/or clearing; assist brokers/customers with balancing/settlement issues
Display strong understanding of all responsibilities/concepts related to settlements
Review/maintain audit information on counterparty confirmation
Notify Customer Service of daily option assignments and other client account changes
Retrieve settlement prices for OTC contracts and process settlements; confirm settlement amounts due to/from various counterparties and notify proper parties of payment
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Futures, Options and/or OTC operations
Bachelor's degree (Finance/Economics/Business Administration preferred)
GMI, Murex, Duco, TriResolve/TriOptima experience a big plus
Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
Microsoft Office experience including Excel and Word
The target base salary is between $75k-100k annually plus bonus. This figure can vary depending on factors such as skillset and experience level.
