Description:

ECS is seeking a Solutions Architect to work remotely.

ECS is looking for a Solutions Architect to support a high performing business portfolio focused on IT solution delivery. As a member of portfolio leadership, the Solutions Architect will ensure multiple workstreams deliver effective solutions following mature technology and management practices.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading projects from conception to delivery, including solutioning, roadmapping, and implementation. They will have hands-on experience with frontline execution, as well as expertise in integrating systems, managing resources, and optimizing processes. Additionally, they will have a proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between the team, customer, and peers to ensure strategic planning, successful delivery, and ongoing operations. They will also have experience in managing complex projects, prioritizing tasks, and driving results-oriented initiatives to meet customer and mission objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ability to understand, learn, and advise on new and emerging technologies, practices, and approaches at all levels, including solutioning, roadmapping, and implementation.
  • Help continuously scale the organization to ensure the high-performing team always has the necessary resources, expertise, and tools to achieve excellent results throughout the design, build, and operations phases of the technical solution delivery lifecycle, including:
    • Managing complex projects and prioritizing tasks
    • Integrating systems, managing resources, and optimizing processes
    • Developing and implementing effective work processes and procedures
    • Mentoring and leading teams to drive results-oriented initiatives
    • Proactively identifying and addressing organizational gaps and opportunities
  • Willingness to support in multiple capacities especially when there are new or emerging requirements, while helping the organization adjust, including:
    • Adapting to changing project requirements and priorities
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and deliver project objectives
    • Facilitating brainstorming and roadmapping sessions to drive innovation and alignment
    • Developing and presenting technical solutions and business cases to stakeholders
    • Presenting at industry events and conferences to share knowledge and expertise
    • Creating and delivering high-quality work products, deliverables, and artifacts (solutions)
  • Lead the organization to make use of data to improve business insights, help with operational decisions, and support performance management, including:
    • Analyzing data to inform business and technical decisions
    • Developing and implementing data-driven strategies and solutions
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes
  • Help business, design, and technology stakeholders work together to achieve positive results, including:
    • Bridging the gap between technical and business stakeholders to drive alignment and understanding
    • Facilitating communication and collaboration across departments and teams
    • Developing and delivering presentations and proposals to stakeholders
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and deliver project objectives and outcomes.


  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable experience
