Principal Responsibilities:
The Senior Director of Development will be a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving a bold, integrated fundraising vision that fuels the MJCCA's mission and long-term sustainability. This role will oversee most philanthropic revenue streams, including major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation support, ensuring a diversified and growth-oriented fundraising portfolio.
Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, the Senior Director will serve as a key advisor on fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and revenue expansion to elevate MJCCA's philanthropic impact. This leader will bring innovative thinking and a deep understanding of nonprofit development best practices. They will be responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropy and mobilizing resources to advance strategic priorities which may include cultivating high-impact donor relationships.
A Snapshot of Key Responsibilities:
? Design and execute a visionary, data-driven fundraising strategy that strengthens and expands MJCCA's philanthropic base.
? Develop and oversee an integrated annual giving program, ensuring sustainable revenue growth through innovative donor engagement and stewardship initiatives.
? Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Impact Officer, ensuring development strategies align with broader institutional priorities.
? Lead a high-performing development team which is already in place, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
? Engage and mobilize Board members and key stakeholders as active partners in fundraising strategy and execution.
? Oversee budget planning and financial forecasting for the development department, ensuring fiscal responsibility and revenue optimization.
? Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance fundraising effectiveness, donor engagement, and impact measurement.

Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
? 7+ years of progressive development leadership experience, with a proven ability to design and implement high-impact fundraising strategies.
? 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on strategic leadership and talent development.
? Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate donors, stakeholders, and teams.
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
? Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into action and measurable results.
? Proficiency in Raiser's Edge, as well as data-driven fundraising methodologies.
? Will attend donor events and community engagements outside standard business hours.
? A commitment to the Jewish community and peoplehood, a plus.
This position is full-time with some evenings and weekends.
Salary:
$120,000 - $135,000
