Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Junior Tax Manager ready to lead and grow within our tax practice. This role involves providing tax compliance and advisory services, managing a small team of professionals, and contributing to the firm's strategic goals, including a pathway to partnership.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation: 120-130k (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Advisory:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary tax filings.

  • Provide expert-level tax planning and consulting services to clients, focusing on strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying current on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Leadership and Management:

  • Mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Act as a resource for resolving complex tax issues and provide technical expertise to the team and clients.

  • Collaborate with firm leadership to set strategic goals and drive business development initiatives.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for tax-related matters.

  • Participate in client meetings to discuss financial and tax strategies, addressing inquiries with professionalism and clarity.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and complex tax scenarios.

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
