Senior Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineering Manager-PE
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for supporting the engineering department by leading the electrical design team and
leading projects from inception to completion.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously including design, perform calculations, prepare contract
drawings and specifications, and prepare basis of design reports.
* Delegating work to junior staff and overseeing drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure
they meet applicable codes and project requirements.
* Attending client meetings during which you will interface with contractors and vendors without
supervisions.
* Prepare load analysis for each stage of design.
* Prepare detailed project electrical systems drawings.
* Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment.
* Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and with project architects.
* Confidentiality with clients and projects.
* Presentations to clients.
* Direct and guide junior staff on projects
Job Requirements
Requirements:
* Degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of job-related experience.
* PE License required.
* Experience in an architectural/engineering firm is required.
* Experience in electrical design for buildings is beneficial.
* Experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.
* Project management experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
* 'Hands on' design experience with various types of electrical systems.
* Proven track record of success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Professional technical writing skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency designing in a BIM environment.
* LEED accreditation is a definite plus, but not a requirement.
