ABM is seeking a highly skilled and strategic EV Charging & Electrical Infrastructure Account Director to lead the management of one of the largest electric vehicle fleet clients in the industry. This role is dedicated to overseeing a single strategic client with a complex and evolving EV infrastructure portfolio. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, this position requires a leader who can drive strategic execution, operational excellence, and innovative solutions to support fleet electrification and infrastructure expansion.
The Account Director will be responsible for leading dedicated teams that oversee operations and maintenance, new site development and construction, and infrastructure project delivery, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance. This role will work closely with key client stakeholders, internal cross-functional teams, and external partners/suppliers to ensure best-in-class service and continued business growth.

The Account Director will be responsible for leading dedicated teams that oversee operations and maintenance, new site development and construction, and infrastructure project delivery, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Client Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for a high-profile fleet electrification client, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
- Develop and execute a long-term infrastructure strategy that aligns with the client's fleet electrification goals and sustainability objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights on EV charging technologies, grid infrastructure, energy management, and fleet optimization.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, quickly adapting to client needs, market changes, and client growth strategy.
Operations & Maintenance Oversight
- Lead a dedicated operations and maintenance team to ensure optimal uptime, reliability, and efficiency of the client's EV charging network and electrical infrastructure.
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and enhance overall charger performance.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including uptime, utilization, energy efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Oversee relationships with third-party service providers and technology partners to ensure SLA adherence and rapid issue resolution.
New Site Development & Construction Leadership
- Manage a dedicated new site development and construction team responsible for expanding the client's EV charging infrastructure footprint.
- Oversee all aspects of site selection, permitting, engineering design, and construction, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Work closely with utilities, regulators, and permitting authorities to navigate grid interconnection requirements and infrastructure approvals.
- Ensure all new installations comply with industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and emerging technology trends.
Infrastructure Project Delivery & Expansion
- Oversee the execution of large-scale EV infrastructure projects, including grid upgrades, battery storage integration, and high-power charging solutions.
- Drive the delivery of infrastructure projects on time and within budget, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement cutting-edge energy solutions, including renewable integration, smart grid technologies, and demand response programs to optimize charging infrastructure.
Financial & Contract Management
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures for the strategic client account.
- Lead contract negotiations, SLA agreements, and pricing structures to ensure mutual value creation and long-term client retention.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure profitability, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Directly oversee cross-functional teams across operations, construction, and project management, ensuring high-performance execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability to drive team success in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Engage with executive leadership, utility providers, technology partners, and industry stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to maintain market leadership and strengthen relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in account management, business development, or operations within the EV charging, fleet electrification, electrical infrastructure, or renewable energy industries.
- Proven experience managing a single, large-scale strategic client in a fast-paced environment with evolving infrastructure needs.
- Strong expertise in fleet electrification, EV charging infrastructure deployment, utility interconnections, and energy management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, oversee multimillion-dollar projects, and drive operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and develop strategic business plans.
- Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and data analytics platforms.
