Job Title: Surgical Technician
Job Specialty: Ortho/Neuro/Spine/Davinci - Operating Room
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 and 12-hour shifts; day or evening shifts; 40 hours per week; including 2 days of 8-hour shifts and 2 days of 12-hour shifts; weekly on-call with a 30-minute response time; occasional holidays and weekends
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Required and willing to wait for processing
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Must-Have:
- 2 years of experience in the operating room with strong ortho (total knee/hips), strong neuro, strong trauma, and robotics experience
Job Description:
- Work in a facility with 33 total OR Suites, 23 suites in one area and 10 suites in another, primarily handling outpatient cases.
- Manage an average of 80-120 cases per day.
- Handle various service lines including orthopedics (major ortho, joints, spines, sports medicine, trauma), neuro (craniotomies and spines), trauma response, surgical oncology, urology, and gynecology robotics.
- Participate in a Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 polytrauma response capabilities.
- Contribute to a bariatric program, ENT procedures including head and neck free flaps & reconstruction, and basic ENT cases.
- Participate in ophthalmology cases including retina, cataracts, and oculoplasties.
- The position requires orientation every two weeks on non-NEO weeks, with scrubs provided for the OR.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system.
