Wealth Management Advisor | Northwest Indiana
Regional/community bank seeks Advisor responsible for developing new wealth management business, develop financial plans for HNW clientele throughout the region to help customers reach their financial objectives, provide expert financial advice/exceptional service, and service/retain existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Essential functions include sales opportunity management, needs assessment, and sales
Accountable for the development/growth of new and existing wealth management relationships
Work in close conjunction with assigned Trust Officer(s) to on-board new customers
Accountable for maintaining/helping to grow customer relationships through a proactive focus on meeting client needs regarding planning, investments, trust, banking, insurance, and client service
Responsible for quality and timeliness of financial plans developed; maintain proper documentation of said plans
Develop new Centers of Influence (COIs) in addition to the already established COIs in designated market(s); this may include Business Banking, Retail and Mortgage, etc.; work closely with client COI's including attorneys, CPAs and other client advisors
Collaborate and perform as part of the relationship management team to execute client strategy; work closely with other Trust Officers and other lines of business to deliver the full wealth management client experience to all assigned relationships
Operate in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in Trust or Investment management and/or trustee experience working with a broad range of financial planning areas including advanced estate and generation planning, retirement planning, investment management, risk management, charitable planning, etc.
Advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or professional designations such as CTFA, CFP, CWS, CPWA, etc. is desired
Knowledge of agency guidelines/industry standards relating to banking, investments, and wealth management
Demonstrated results in financial sales
Strong interpersonal/communication skills; critical thinking/problem solving skills; exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills; Able to adjust approach based on each customer's situation
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Target base salary range is around $100-120k plus commissions, however the firm may have flexibility for an exceptional candidate. Actual salary will be influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience level, etc.
