What You'll Do
What technologies will you be using?
Everything, depending on clients' needs. Python, SQL, AWS, GCP, Golang, Hadoop, Snowflake, RDBMS, Kakfa, BI reporting tools, and Data Science toolkits. Projects may also require understanding of how to move from a legacy system (SQL Server, relational databases, etc) into a more modern architecture. No one needs to be an expert in everything on day 1 but we are always learning new things to solve problems, like:

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $197,500. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You'll Do
- Build conceptual architectures for modern data solutions
- Develop and deliver proposals to clients including content, budgetary estimates, and resource requirements
- Develop presentations for Slalom leadership teams around solution offerings
- Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities, and analyze findings to provide appropriate solution recommendations and adoption strategies
- Collaborate and build delivery teams with the right skills to deliver the best outcomes
- Provide technical direction and oversight to data engineering and cloud teams
- Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals

- Modern Data Workflows (Apache Airflow, dbt, Dagster)
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience working with business stakeholders to scope and estimate levels of effort to deliver modern data solutions
- Prior experience responding to RFPs, solutioning with clients and/or selling $1-3M+ of data-related professional consulting services
- Demonstrated experience working with mid and senior-level executives
- 8+ years in the Data world, experienced in architecture, data modeling, data engineering and/or data governance
- Experience leading technical teams to deliver outcomes and solutions
