About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to lead and support our site's HSE initiatives. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal standards, while driving continuous improvement in workplace safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine HSE functions to support the site's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) and compliance objectives.
- Conduct regular site inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of hazard prevention and control programs.
- Train, coach, and support employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure technical HSE content is current, compliant, and effectively communicated.
- Analyze HSE data and audit results to identify trends and develop improvement plans.
- Contribute to annual HSEMS reviews and support audit readiness.
- Coach cross-functional teams and support employee development in HSE matters.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and practices in the HSE field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification in an HSE-related field (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a health, safety, and/or environmental role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DNR regulations, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead training, conduct risk assessments, and manage compliance initiatives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
