The Importance of the Role
The Director, GMA Medical Education & Training Lead ("METL") possesses a deep understanding of the medical, scientific, and therapeutic areas relevant to the organization's product. The METL is accountable for the development, implementation, and evaluation of scientific onboarding and training programs for the Global Medical Affairs organization. This individual develops the scientific onboarding curriculum in consultation with the medical training steering committee and leads the delivery of the curriculum. The METL develops and maintains a training plan in collaboration with the medical training steering committee to address the ongoing educational needs of GMA and the Field Medical teams. The METL coordinates the delivery of the ongoing training plan with subject matter experts. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with the Customer Organization Training function to support the onboarding and ongoing trainings needs of the Customer Organization, as appropriate.
The METL reports to the VP, Global Field Medical Engagement and Innovative Solutions. The individual will collaborate and work cross functionally to ensure alignment of scientific knowledge and practical application with the medical strategy and scientific narrative.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.
The targeted salary range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference
- Develop and execute the scientific onboarding curriculum for Field Medical; adapt to ensure relevance and applicability to the broader GMA organization's scientific onboarding needs
- Leverage approved Field Medical resources, publications, or other existing internal resources to deliver scientific onboarding; create and maintain supplemental training material only if necessary and in collaboration with a subject matter expert
- Ensure any changes, updates, or new Field Medical resources and publications are reflected in the scientific onboarding and training program
- Lead the onboarding process, deliver the curriculum, and communicate feedback to appropriate managers on individual's onboarding progress
- Remain up to date on all knowledge necessary to deliver a contemporaneous, strategically aligned scientific onboarding curriculum; collaborate with Global Medical Affairs Leads to ensure alignment with medical strategy and scientific narrative
- Develop a training plan based on GMA's annual strategic medical plan, publication plan, and consultation with the medical training steering committee. Obtain Senior Leadership Team (SLT) endorsement
- Facilitate monthly medical training steering committee meetings to discuss changes in the training plan, as needed, and identify gaps in education to be addressed via future training. For material changes, obtain SLT endorsement
- Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts (e.g., Global Medical Affairs Leads, internal authors) to deliver on the training plan; coordinate the execution
- Manage and maintain all processes and documentation for scientific onboarding and training
- Work collaboratively with the Field Medical Leadership to identify areas for field medical improvement and further career development
- Collaborate with the Customer Organization Training function to support Customer Organization onboarding and training needs including major meetings that may involve GMA
More about You
- Advanced Degree in Physical Sciences, Nursing, or Healthcare required
- 12+ years of relevant experience, with 4 years in a training or teaching capacity with knowledge in adult principles of learning and instructional design; proven track record of success
- Disease area knowledge, ideally in DMD and LGMD
- Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment
- Ability to succeed in an ambiguous environment
- Proven track record of strategic thinking and ability to transition to tactical execution
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communications
