About the Team

The LAND400 Phase 2 Program Team leads the delivery activities across the contracted acquisition scope. Leading a cross functional team, and facilitating key customer relationships, the IPT Lead will manage the scope, budget, risk, and schedule required to satisfy the contracted scope of work.

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Manager, Turreted Variants, the Integrated Product Team Lead (RECON) will act as the prime contractor interface for the production and delivery of the mission modules and turrets in support of the Boxer CRV production. This will include the oversight of RDA own scope including production launch, Australia-based design, local pre-delivery rework, production activities, and commercial aspects.

The general and generic duties of the IPT Lead RECON include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead a cross function team of engineers, procurement specialists, operations and quality managers, to commence and sustain local assembly of Boxer CRV Mission Modules and Turrets locally in Australia;
  • Support coordination of the completion of local verification activities for the variant;
  • Manage the development of comprehensive, executable project plans and an integrated project schedule to be shared with the internal team and the customer. All plans and schedules are to be completed in accordance with the ASDEFCON Complex contracting model;
  • Provide governance and oversight of subcontract execution by Rheinmetall entities on behalf of Program Manager Turreted Variants;
  • Manage the development of comprehensive, cross-functional plans for the establishment of production for the variant with inputs from operations, procurement, engineering, quality and other functions as required;
  • Manage the interface with the customer and foster the partnership with the Commonwealth of Australia and other stakeholders such as approved subcontractors or suppliers;
  • Review, monitor and report overall project performance to ensure the project is being progressed in accordance with the Contract Master Schedule and the Statement of Work (both as representative of RDA as the Prime Contractor and as Control Account Manager for RDA own-scope);
  • Present to stakeholders reports on the progress as well as challenges and remediation plans when necessary;


WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
  • Proven (5+ years) experience in Project Management, desirably within the Defence Industry;
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Substantial experience in managing complex projects and project resources including subcontractors and multiple service providers using PM methodologies in a variety of environments, along with demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of systems/products, where these may be complex in nature;
  • Experience in ASDEFCON programs;
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
