Position Overview:

The MP Materials HR team is seeking a proven Senior Recruiter who will lead securing talent for the company. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Senior Recruiter will play a key role with the on-going growth and development of our business initiatives including direct responsibility of ensuring that all recruiting efforts support our goals.

The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for full cycle recruiting from the first stages of preparing sourcing strategies with business leaders through the final stages of onboarding. Additionally, this role will help establish and develop important partnerships with professional organizations and education institutions on a local and national scale to support initiatives such as internships, apprentice programs, and other talent sourcing strategies. The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing a variety of positions including specialized engineers, mine operators, senior leaders, and other critical roles.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including strategic planning with the hiring teams, sourcing candidates, interviewing, screening, coordinating the selection and offer process, supporting hiring requirements, and onboarding.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand operations to define candidate talent requirements and sourcing approach.
  • Ongoing review of recruiting processes, methods, and tools for enhancement with best practices.
  • Develop constructive relationships with professional, educational, and other relevant external organizations for community partnerships and establish a talent pipeline for the company.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including posting positions, reviewing applications, closing postings, dispositioning candidates, and other functional requirements.
  • Develop appropriate and effective interviewing procedures with proficiency in technical, behavioral, and other requirements to evaluate the roles being sourced.
  • Ensure a positive candidate and internal customer experience throughout the recruiting cycle.
  • Partner with HR cross-functional teams with onboarding, creating job descriptions, preparing offers, handling internal mobility, and other activities within the recruiting cycle.
  • Coordinate partnerships with external recruiting support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or relevant field of study.
  • Experience using an ATS (e.g., ADP, Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Senior Recruiter will have the ability to source active and passive candidates.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively partner with HR cross-functional teams, business operations, and other stakeholders within the business.
  • Experience developing external partnerships.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and responsiveness.
  • Experience recruiting specialized administrative positions, senior leadership, and high-volume operational positions.

Desired Qualities:
  • Experience and/or strong knowledge of overall HR generalist practices, such as compensation, benefits, talent management, DEI, and HR Operations.
  • Will manage schedule and support multiple hiring manager calendars.
  • Recruiting experience within administrative, corporate, industrial, and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Senior recruiter will be required to travel to support events, career fairs, and company growth.
  • Experience developing and/or maintaining relationships with external organizations.
  • Experience with relocation and international considerations (e.g., visas.)
  • Experience recruiting on a local and national scale.
  • General project management skills and/or experience launching initiatives and programs.
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position is on-site/in-person in Las Vegas, Nevada.
