Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales and strategic growth for our subsurface data transformation services and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling new technology services and solution for the geoscience domain, with the ability to sell newly developed, niche products that have not been previously commercialized. This role requires a strong network within U.S. Oil & Gas E&P companies, as well as deep industry knowledge to engage key stakeholders and drive adoption of cutting-edge data transformation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in Oil & Gas E&P companies, including geoscientists, data managers, digital and IT leaders.
  • Sell first-to-market solutions, ensuring rapid adoption and sustained growth.
  • Identify client pain points and showcase the value of data transformation solutions to address these.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Ensuring revenue targets and growth objectives are met.
  • Maintain industry presence through conferences, networking, and market research.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine go-to-market messaging and product positioning.
  • Provide sales forecasts, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop and execute a business plan to drive adoption of niche subsurface data services and solutions.


Qualifications and Experience

Required
  • Proven success in selling niche, new tech services and solutions for subsurface data and digital transformation.
  • Track record of year-over-year sales growth, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong network within U.S. Oil & Gas E&P companies, especially in geoscience, data, and digital teams.
  • Experience in business development and sales for technology solutions in upstream Oil & Gas.
  • Prior experience working in geoscience, reservoir engineering, or data management roles is an advantage.
  • Skilled in communicating complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Willing to travel for client meetings, conferences, and business development.


Desired
  • Knowledge of subsurface data, workflows, and standards (e.g., OSDU, data management).
  • Experience working with data platforms, cloud-based solutions, or AI-driven digital transformation technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry players, partnerships, and evolving trends in subsurface digital technologies.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, particularly for engaging with Latin American markets.

Additional Information

This position will be based in Houston, TX but will require travel as required in building and maintaining client relationships.
