VIZIO's Technology - Software and Services team is seeking a Manager, Engineering to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of cloud engineers in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications in Azure and AWS.
- Define and implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
- Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) adoption using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and Bicep.
- Oversee cloud monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Manage cloud budgeting and cost optimization to maximize efficiency.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team.
About You
- 7+ years of experience in managing cloud applications and services in Azure and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), serverless computing, and microservices architectures.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Familiarity with database services (RDS, CosmosDB, DynamoDB, etc.) and storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM, RBAC, SSO, MFA, etc.).
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
- Knowledge of AI/ML services in cloud environments.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
