As a member of the Generics Leadership Team, this position requires a dynamic leader and a versatile thinker who can lead strategic initiatives, process optimization, as well as handling projects and maintaining communications across the commercial functions and the Global functions. He/she provides strategic and operational support to the VP of Generics, to drive sales performance and achieve business objectives.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing Liaison for our Generics business, you will be focused on executing operations within the commercial functions across Marketing, Pricing, Contracts, as well as National Accounts & Field Force Sales in their execution of the annual business plan and delivery of results. As a member of the Generics Leadership Team, this position requires a dynamic leader and a versatile thinker who can lead strategic initiatives, process optimization, as well as handling projects and maintaining communications across the commercial functions and the global functions. You provide strategic and operational support to the VP of Generics, to drive sales performance and achieve business objectives.

Your additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operational Execution
  • Support the creation of executive business reviews and presentations and quality control of final deliverables
  • Work with Generics leadership team and cross functionally to create annual objectives, gain alignment & track them on quarterly basis
  • Identify bottlenecks in our processes around sales plans, launch strategy execution, or customer engagement, and drive resolution for the cross functional team
  • Key contributor to the planning of key cross functional commercial meetings, including onsite & offsite Generics team townhall and leadership meetings and commercial launch strategy meetings


Commercial Strategy
  • Liaise with Global and US generics team to support strategic initiatives, BD&L projects, objective settings and monthly USLT updates
  • Provide ad hoc project management support to VP Generics and/or other functions on new or temporary projects
  • Identify and own strategic initiatives that support annual priorities / objectives as well as drives long term improvements to the Generics function, and in some cases, the full enterprise
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales team to develop and continuously improve sales processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and support sales initiatives that align with the company's goals.
  • Gather business insights from National Account teams and Field Force; maintain database with insights and develop new customer strategies or enhance existing customer strategies to increase profitability and market share.
  • Develop unique customer contracting strategies in coordination with the Pricing & Contracts team. Monitor the ROI on these strategies and execute changes to maximize the financial impact at profitable margins.
  • Lead special projects that support the overall sales strategy, including product launches, market expansion initiatives, and partnership development.
  • Closely partner with Global Portfolio, BD&L and Launch teams to assess impact on pipeline and select or acquire new assets, partner on technical transfer projects of in-line portfolio and LCM projects
  • Continuou improvement and set clear performance metrics and provide regular feedback to team members
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.


Liaison to new Associates
  • Assist in the coordination of Onboarding new associates in the Generics team to ensure a "best in class" experience
  • Manage summer intern, drives project performance and is an active member of the summer intern planning team


What you'll bring to the role:

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA preferred.


Work Experience:
  • 7-10 years of experience in sales operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate teams.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy & ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently


This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Our Sandoz flexible-hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workdays remotely.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $185,500 and $344,500/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement.
