Our location in Columbus, OH currently has an opportunity for a Director, Business Human Resources (BHR) to serve as the primary strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and the resulting HR solutions. This role will support the Adult Nutrition Business Unit of Abbott Nutrition Products Division (ANPD) and will assume responsibility for additional nutrition global functions. This role will partner directly with the General Managers and Divisional Vice Presidents of those organizations and will sit as part of the leadership team.

$147,300.00 - $294,700.00

What You'll Work On
- Serves as the strategic HR partner to the Business. Leverages HR consulting skills to help their business clients achieve key business objectives and increase the effectiveness of their organization.
- Balances short term needs / tactics with long term strategies; calibrates needs of the business unit with the broader business.
- Aligns human resources initiatives and resources to deliver against business strategies and operational plans.
- In partnership with the Sr. Director and leadership team, develops and implements a talent plan that ensures the organization has the right talent to deliver on financial commitments, consistent team performance and a sustainable talent bench.
- Brings thought leadership and experience to change management initiatives in the business.
- Responsible for the quality and responsiveness of the overall delivery of all HR services for the respective client group.
- Establishes, builds, and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from Area BHR, Practice Areas and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet and exceed business needs.
- Provide leadership and planning for the following areas in conjunction with the Abbott practice/service centers:
- Staffing
- Compensation
- Employee relations
- Coaching and Development
- Team building
- Understands business issues and determines HR implications.
- Responsible for the effective implementation of HR programs, in conjunction with area practice/service center
- Organizational design and restructuring.
- Organizational effectiveness (including needs assessment, organization development, and performance excellence).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, company policies and practices
- Identify and develop strategies to address strategic talent acquisition and retention issues.
- Promote employee understanding and contribute to positive employee relations climate through effective communications.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience leading HR initiatives and programs, talent management, employee relations and compensation/benefits programs
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare or consumer product goods organizations preferred
- Experience working in a matrix HR environment
- Experience with organization culture change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with management to achieve both HR and business objectives
- Understanding of key business and financial drivers and demonstrated strong delivery of HR results
