Position Summary:

The Director will lead the strategic and operational oversight of Hartford HealthCare's extensive ambulatory property portfolio, which is comprised of over 400 locations, both owned and leased, across the state. The Director will ensure the effective management, maintenance, and optimization of properties across Hartford HealthCare's network, including healthcare facilities, office spaces, and other real estate holdings.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of Hartford HealthCare's property portfolio, ensuring properties are well-maintained, operationally efficient, and aligned with organizational goals and standards
  • Develop and execute comprehensive property management strategies, focusing on cost efficiency, asset performance, and tenant satisfaction
  • Oversee vendor and tenant relationships, addressing any concerns or issues promptly to ensure positive and lasting partnerships
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repair efforts, working with external vendor to uphold building standards and address operational needs
  • Prepare and manage property budgets, monitor operating expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and accessibility standards
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the overall performance of the property portfolio
  • Develop insights and recommendations based on market analysis and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, quality control, cost savings and operational efficiency in partnership with our property management vendor


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree a minimum of fifteen plus years of relevant property management experience will be considered
  • Six plus years of progressive leadership in facilities, engineering or property management
  • Deep understanding of real estate assets and facility management and maintenance, both preventative and emergent
  • Highly developed communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people in both individual and group settings
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and real estate property management
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal relations, communication, active-listening, and analytical skills
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving
  • Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, diplomacy, and relationship building
