Summary/Objective:
The Payroll & Labor Law Compliance Manager will ensure USA DeBusk's HR practices comply with federal, state of California and local employment laws, policies, and regulations, including monitoring, interpreting, implementing changes, and providing guidance to USA DeBusk's Corporate Operations Leadership and management.

Summary/Objective:
The Payroll & Labor Law Compliance Manager will ensure USA DeBusk's HR practices comply with federal, state of California and local employment laws, policies, and regulations, including monitoring, interpreting, implementing changes, and providing guidance to USA DeBusk's Corporate Operations Leadership and management.
Responsibilities:
- Stay current on federal, state of California, and local employment laws and regulations, including those related to wages, hours, discrimination, harassment, leave, and other HR-related matters.
- Interpret and apply these laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all payroll practices.
- Monitor for changes in laws and regulations and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.
- Audit payroll records, policies and procedures to ensure USA DeBusk is following the State of California's unique and ever-changing labor laws.
- Disseminate written policies and procedures related to non-compliance activities.
- Will draft and implement new policies, processes, and procedures to improve payroll compliance.
- Conduct or direct internal investigations of non-compliance issues
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that payroll and labor law compliance procedures are being followed.
- Must provide the VP Corporate Operations Team with metrics, KPIs and dashboards in a prompt and efficient manner as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources required
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of California employment laws, rules and regulations
- 5+ years of experience working in California Human Resources Labor Law Landscape
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience is highly preferred but not required
- Previous experience working within the contractor industrial services arena is preferred but not required
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high growth organization
- Experience in Industrial Services, preferred but not required
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while working with HR records
- Good communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely respond to inquiries
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment with a commitment to the overall success of the organization
- Demonstrative ability showing strong analytical, problem-solving skills and is cognizant of adequate response times
- Strong work ethic and high-level of integrity needed for working with confidential information
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
Pay Range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year
