POSITION: Senior Director of Growth (Sales & Marketing)

LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH (Oakley)

REPORTS TO: VP of Experience & Impact

COMPENSATION RANGE: $112,500 - $137,500

VARIABLE COMPENSATION: Up to $10,000 year

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Growth Director will lead MadTree's integrated revenue strategy across all channels - from wholesale distribution to our three hospitality venues. This role will develop and execute strategies that drive significant revenue growth while maintaining brand integrity and our purpose-driven mission. By leading both Sales and Marketing teams, this position will create powerful alignment to accelerate growth, optimize customer experiences, and establish MadTree as a preferred brand. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors - Connect, Grow, and Give a F*ck.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Innovation & Growth Strategy (40%)

  • Develop comprehensive growth strategies across all sales channels, establish clear metrics, and align plans across various teams.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competition to identify expansion strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through market analysis and consumer insights.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop new products and experiences that meet evolving consumer demands.
  • Lead the examination of customer journey to identify friction points and opportunities for increased revenue.
  • Develop customer acquisition and retention strategies to drive consistent growth.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure alignment between growth initiatives and operational capabilities.
  • Build a growth-oriented culture that encourages innovation and calculated risk-taking.


Sales Leadership (25%)

  • Lead and develop the Sales team to build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners, chain buyers, and key accounts.
  • Direct the development and execution of territory management strategies, pricing architecture, and sales incentive programs.
  • Oversee the management of distributor relationships, ensuring clear expectations and accountability.
  • Lead launch strategies for new markets, products, and line extensions.
  • Implement effective sales processes, systems, and performance measurement routines that provide meaningful data for decision-making.
  • Guide key account strategies to maximize brand presence and growth in chain accounts.


Marketing Leadership (25%)

  • Lead the Marketing and Creative teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans that drive revenue across all channels.
  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging integrity across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee the development of compelling campaigns that drive traffic to hospitality venues and increase product sales.
  • Direct demand generation strategy development in collaboration with area leaders and senior leadership.
  • Guide marketing budget allocation to maximize ROI across promotional channels.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives effectively support both distribution and hospitality sales channels.


Impact (10%)

  • Ensure growth initiatives align with MadTree's purpose of connecting people to nature and each other and delivering on the vision to be a sustainable purpose-driven company our kids can be proud of.
  • Champion MadTree's B-Corp values and 1% For the Planet commitments in all growth strategies.
  • Enthusiastically spends 16 hours per year volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives as well as leading the team with that same enthusiasm.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in a multi-channel environment.
  • 3+ years experience in the craft beverage, hospitality, or CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies that deliver measurable results.

IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of hospitality operations and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presentation ability, storytelling, and persuasive writing.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
