As the Regional Operations Manager overseeing the Plant Operations team, your focus will be on overseeing the daily operations of the hydropower generation stations within your region. You'll be responsible for supervision, budgeting, ensuring safe operations, maintenance, and adherence to protocols. As the Regional Operations Manager overseeing the Plant Operations team, your focus will be on overseeing the daily operations of the hydropower generation stations within your region. You'll be responsible for supervision, budgeting, ensuring safe operations, maintenance, and adherence to protocols. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and contributing to our mission of clean energy transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership to a team of Production Technicians, ensuring collaboration, motivation, and adherence to safety and operational protocols.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the hydropower generation stations within your region, ensuring safe and efficient operations, including monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all operational requirements, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Manager resources, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Generate and submit reports on operational performance, safety incidents, and maintenance activities to senior management.
- Respond to changing situations, emergencies, and multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Management and Engineering, to optimize plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive professional growth and development by setting and achieving clear objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
- Promote and embody the company's core values, fostering a vulture of alignment among team members.
- Position will require regular travel to plants within their region. Additionally, travel may be required to support other regions, which could include overnight stays.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager.
Qualifications:
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience in hydropower operations.
- Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience required.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel and stay overnight for company business purposes, including training and corporate meetings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook, for effective communication and documentation is a plus.
