The Amazon Stores Financial Technology (FinTech) Team seeks a Finance Planning & Analytics (FP&A) Support Lead to manage our FP&A product suite and drive planning and month-end processes by working closely with the customers, engineers and finance teams. We are the tech team that builds and supports Worldwide Amazon Stores - one of the fastest growing, largest and most complex Supply Chains in the world. This role combines strategic stakeholder partnership with strong technical expertise, requiring advanced Excel proficiency and excellent communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Problem Solving

* Lead complex technical problem resolution across multiple FP&A suite of products

* Serve as primary technical expert for critical customer issues

* Deconstruct complex problems into actionable solutions

* Work with development teams to build tools and dashboards that improve operational efficiency

Customer Support & Operations

* Provide first-line customer support for FP&A suite of products

* Manage system support activities, including on-call rotation for critical systems

* Lead support retrospectives and author Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents

* Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures

* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and create end-user documentation

* Identify manual touch points and work with engineering team on the solution to automate repetitive tasks

Cross-functional Collaboration

* Partner with finance, product, program, and engineering teams to define business requirements

* Lead escalation processes with development teams across Amazon

* Coordinate large-scale change requests

* Present technical recommendations to product & leadership

Team Development & Process Improvement

* Guide and mentor junior support team members

* Drive operational excellence through systematic improvements

* Identify improvement opportunities through pattern analysis and work with product to re-engineer business processes.

* Partner with leaders on data-driven decision making

* Contribute to strategic technical discussions and priorities

* Be an active member in building a product launch plan and participate in product ops.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex projects with competing priorities

* Track record of customer-focused problem resolution

* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

* 5+ years experience with IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics

* 5+ years of working experience in financial planning and reporting space

* 5+ years SQL experience for analysis and problem-solving

* 6+ years experience as a business analyst, data analyst, or data visualization (Quicksight, Apliqo, Tableau) specialist

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

* Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling

* Experience with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) databases (Redshift, Teradata)

* NoSQL database expertise

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $264,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
