- Has strong actuarial/technical capabilities coupled with a consultant mindset.
- Understands the ins and outs of detailed models and the underlying data.
- Has strong coding skills, preferably experience with SQL.
- Can anticipate Lockton client questions and develop knowledge to respond appropriately.
- Can translate complicated information into something understandable, ability to create deliverables applying data visualization appropriately.
- Can facilitate discussion and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Has excellent data analytics skills and ability to work with large data sets.
- Has ability to organize data and analyze for changes over time.
- Is comfortable making decisions and recommendations when data/information is not complete/available.
Duties to include:
- Serving as subject matter expert on carrier networks.
- Understanding and evaluating carrier/vendor cost containment strategies and translating to a total cost of care utilizing multiple data sources.
- Owning processes for governance, upgrading, and maintaining proprietary Lockton models.
- Facilitating work groups and training of internal subject matter experts.
- Managing and maintaining good relationships with carrier and vendor partners.
- Training associates on use and consulting approach for proprietary models.
- Deploying ongoing communication strategy for associates related to proprietary models.
- Working directly with IT developers to upgrade and enhance Lockton models.
- Working directly with other specialty practice areas to enhance and build new models to answer client questions.
Requirements:
- Prefer credentialed actuary or strong technical analyst/consultant with a minimum of 5 years of Employer Group Benefits experience with a particular emphasis on healthcare.
- Familiarity with network analysis, payment integrity programs, cost containment strategies, medical claims coding, and transparency data (machine readable files).
- Ability to use data visualization to convey data story effectively and efficiently.
- Experience in evaluating client needs and providing client service, preferably in a consultative or sales related profession.
- Experience with data analytics tools, for example PowerBI or Tableau.
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of the healthcare marketplace including plan design, network analytics, plan cost savings strategies.
- Ability to provide, where appropriate, clear direction and the ability to listen and incorporate the ideas of others.
- Demonstrated ability to meet internal and external deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving clients and internal stakeholders while taking ownership of work product.
- Exemplary ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.

- Superior to excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and creative problem solving.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel, VBA, PowerPoint).
- Advanced coding skills, preferably experience with SQL.
- Ability to travel (less than 10%).
