- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy with at least a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Arkansas, such licensure granted by the State Board of Pharmacy after passing the required examinations or by reciprocity based in passing such examinations in another state.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA) preferred.
- Experience
- Required 5 years experience in hospital or retail pharmacy. Required 2 years management experience in the hospital, ambulatory and/or specialty pharmacy setting.
- Proven ability to drive financial performance, manage budgets, and lead cost-saving initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple service lines, including specialty pharmacy, home infusion, ambulatory and/or retail pharmacy.
- Experience in compliance with regulatory guidelines, including local, state, and federal requirements.
- Proficiency in financial management, data analytics, and performance tracking tools to support decision-making and reporting.

- Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range. Operates computer, typewriter, calculator. Finger dexterity. Eye-hand coordination. Frequent sitting, standing and walking. May lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Some exposure to chemical hazards when making chemotherapy

- JOB SUMMARY
- The Director of Pharmacy Outpatient Services is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and advancing a diverse portfolio of outpatient pharmacy operations. This individual will ensure exceptional pharmaceutical care while driving operational excellence, financial sustainability and quality assurance. Individual must have working knowledge of pharmaceutical purchasing, compounding, dispensing, and control procedures. Must understand the role of the pharmacy department in the hospital, its interrelationships with other departments, and the functions of a department head. Must know principles of personnel management. Strong critical thinking, effective analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities required. Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task with results-oriented outcomes and work in a fast-paced environment. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
