Job Description and Overview:

As a Sr. M&R Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the Universal Maintenance field operations for a defined region or business unit, with direct oversite of multiple repair facilities performing service and repairs on company and customer assets with a focus on Intermodal Chassis and Trailers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct fleet maintenance and outside repair functions in accordance with all Universal Maintenance programs and policies

• Manage equipment downtime to ensure expectation of equipment availability

• Ensure PM program compliance for all equipment assigned

• Ensure customer equipment repairs are performed in compliance with designated programs

• Monitor and manage cost controls for multiple shops

• Oversite and management of Parts Inventories and shop tooling for multiple locations

• Effectively communicate with customers, operational teams and senior management

• Responsible for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

• Manage employee production and shop overtime

• Perform safety and work quality audits on regular basis

• Provide a safe work environment by maintaining clean and safe shops in compliance with OSHA and all other regulatory standards

• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned

• Contribute to the Universal Maintenance program by assisting, from time to time, the Regional Director and/or Vice President of Maintenance and other team members, in the development, evaluation and implementation of best practices and policies

Qualifications:

• Ability to travel as needed (10%)
• Minimum of 5 years Maintenance Management and Supervisory experience
• Proficient in analytical review of data and cost trends
• Strong understanding of the Intermodal industry
• Able to travel as needed on regular basis
• Strong sense of both Internal and External customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experienced with Depot Systems, and TMT Maintenance software preferred
• Knowledge of AS400 operating systems
• Valid driver's license
