MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

About The Job:

Provides overall direction of the Patient Financial Services Department which includes the following functions: third-party payer/insurance claims filing, patient billing, cashiering, bad debt collections, third-party refunds, data processing, registration of inpatients, outpatients, clinic and emergency department patients, accounts receivable management, and departmental budget performance. Is responsible for the selection, training, development and assessment of staff. Develops and is responsible for implementation of policies and procedures for the operation of areas of responsibility for Hospital. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of the PHO. Coordinates MCRHC's Compliance Program.

Position Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Experience:
    • Three (3) or more years collection or billing experience; hospital &/or clinic business office billing and collections preferred.
    • Three (3) or more years experience as Team Leader or Supervisor preferred.
    • Must have a minimum of three-five years of experience with hospital &/or clinic patient accounting and third-party regulations.
