Job Purpose
Lead a team of machine learning engineers, data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, data science interns to leverage heterogeneous digital health data and develop innovative data science, analytics, and AI/ML solutions that transform data into meaningful insights and actions for both patients and healthcare providers.
Be a hands-on technical leader for the data science and analytics team responsible for data research, data analysis, data visualization, and the development of statistical/predictive models. Be a liaison between Welldoc data science and customer data science organizations to execute advanced AI driven data strategies.
Responsibilities
Implement data intelligence platform at Welldoc utilizing best in class solutions.
Work with Product Development, Clinical Science, Marketing, Client Success, Implementation, and Software Engineering teams to establish priorities and a roadmap for AI/ML, and advanced analytics projects. Collaborate with Software Engineering to design and build AI enabled features into the Welldoc platform.
Deliver data science insights using statistical, data mining, and machine and deep learning models. Leverage a broad stack of technologies like Databricks, PyTorch, Python, SQL, PowerBI, Powershell, R, and more to reveal the insights hidden within large volumes of metabolic data, medication data, lifestyle data, symptom data, socio-economic and social determinant data, and in the future, genomic data.
Define and implement ML-OPS data value chain using industry best in class solutions.
Apply AI methods and modeling techniques across rules-based AI, machine learning AI, deep learning AI, and generative AI to improve core operational process efficiencies and implement new AI product features.
Create and maintain data governance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WI) such that all data models, processes, and analytic tools conform with required quality, data privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO13485/MDSAP, HIPAA, GDPR, 21CFR820, HiTrust, SOC2).
Educate and evangelize across internal teams on analytic methods, data insights and measurement by conducting internal learning sessions.
Lead the external client partners channel data and analysis efforts and be the subject matter expert on Welldoc technical data processes.
Provide code reviews and management of best coding practices. Oversee the technical quality of the data science and analytics team's work and ensure that it adheres to excellence.

3+ years of experience in building and deploying GenAI applications to production
Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and/or dependent care accounts. While the anticipated salary range for this position is between 150-190K/year with the expectation that most candidates will fall around the midpoint of the range, exceptional candidates may exceed the range.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-10 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML models to production and conducting analyses using Databricks, R, Python, PyTorch or other statistical programming languages
- 5-10 years of experience with relational databases, and extracting and transforming data using SQL.
- 5-10 years of experience with industry data intelligence platforms (Azure, Databricks, Amazon, Google)
- 5-10 years of experience building visualization dashboards using tools including PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js, Jupyter Notebooks, or RStudio
- 5-10years of experience with tools to automate continuous integration/continuous development pipelines including Jenkins, GIT, or SVM
- 5-10 years of digital health or population healthcare analytics industry experience
- 5-10 years of experience leading cross functional initiatives, communicating
effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members and senior management - Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
