Electrical Estimator

Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical construction projects. This role requires a keen understanding of electrical systems, commercial construction processes, and the ability to analyze project plans and specifications to provide detailed cost analysis and bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
• Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Utilize estimation software such as PlanSwift and EBM for take-offs and bid preparation.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Analyze bid documents and prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and cost control measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design-build processes, and estimation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimation software, particularly PlanSwift and EBM.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
