Job Title: Contract Specialist - NAVAIR (EPS Procurement Support)
Location: Remote (with occasional on-site support as required)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Employment Type: Full-Time (Contractor)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support a NAVAIR (Naval Air Systems Command) program. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition environment, with a strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, and Navy-specific procurement procedures. This position requires proficiency in the U.S. Navy Enterprise Procurement System (EPS) for contract writing and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and process procurement documents within the Navy EPS contract writing system in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and DoN procurement policies.
Develop solicitations, contracts, modifications, Justifications and Approvals (J&As), Determinations and Findings (D&Fs), and other acquisition-related documentation.
Conduct market research and prepare acquisition strategies and procurement packages.
Coordinate with program managers, legal counsel, technical experts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate contract execution.
Support cradle-to-grave acquisition activities, including pre-award, award, and post-award functions.
Monitor contract performance, manage contract modifications, and assist in resolving contractual issues or disputes.
Maintain accurate and organized contract files and documentation in compliance with government regulations.
Ensure compliance with NAVAIR and Navy-specific procurement directives and internal controls.
Track and report procurement milestones and deliverables to ensure program timelines are met.
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Contract Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Contract Specialist or similar role in a DoD or federal contracting environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting NAVAIR or similar Navy programs.
Proficiency with the Navy's Enterprise Procurement System (EPS).
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoN contracting procedures.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
