Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Job Specialty: Radiology

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM & Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred

License: Radiography by ARRT required, State Licensure required

Certifications: Basic life support (BLS) required

Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent

Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
- Help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts or locations as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within scope of licensure.
- Maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
- Adhere to organization's mission, values, and culture in behavior and communication.
- Abide by administrative and departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and development.
- Ensure exceptional physician satisfaction by assisting radiologists and referring physicians meaningfully.
- Perform duties that protect patient confidentiality.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate individual patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care set by regulatory entities.
- Perform examinations and procedures to assist patient throughput within licensed scope.
- Scan and store completed exams correctly in PACS.
- Serve as a PACS Superuser to follow downtime procedures and escalate issues.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel and follow up appropriately.
- Perform other assigned duties.
