Role Overview
The Senior Analyst, Business Development & Portfolio will support the development and growth of Xiromed US' pipeline portfolio through organic growth and BD partnerships. This role will be instrumental in the development of Xiromed's pipeline, including candidate selection, analysis, forecasting and recommending products for internal development. In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting Xiromed's business development efforts to supplement the company's organic growth with key development partnerships.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Perform analysis of new product candidates for development and maintain database of product opportunities.
Conduct evaluation of project candidates that fit with Xiromed's capabilities, optimize our competitive position in the market and maximize value.
Work with the R&D, clinical, IP and regulatory teams to ensure the various facets of each project are aligned and the progress of pipeline projects are on track.
Provide analytical support on potential M&A, product or portfolio acquisitions and provide support to BD team throughout due diligence.
Implement analytical tools to assist in product selection and business intelligence.
Conduct market analysis, competitor analysis, cost analysis and pricing analysis for new opportunities and ongoing evaluation of current pipeline projects.
Utilize various databases for market analysis, including IQVIA, IPD, Evaluate Pharma, FDA databases, etc.
Collaborate with global business development and portfolio teams on new development opportunities.
Collaborate with R&D & Project Management teams in Spain to monitor progress of development projects and advocate for timely completion of development and product submissions, to ensure portfolio progression.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Develop systems and processes for the exchange of updated information with the various functional groups including R&D, project management, clinical, IP and regulatory.
Liaise with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
Provide portfolio information to sales team to support commercial growth.
Requirements and personal skills
Education: Undergraduate degree in business or life science, MBA preferred.
Languages: Fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish helpful
Experience (years/area): 2-4 Years in generic pharmaceutical industry with a focus on portfolio management or comparable experience
Travel: 15%
Personal skills: Excellent analysis skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to anticipate problems and solve them successfully.
Key Competencies:
o Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, competitive analysis, product analysis, industry & market analysis.
o Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable networking and managing contract negotiations.
o Fluency with Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
o Prefer working knowledge of pharmaceutical databases such as IQVIA, PriceRx, Prospector Rx, First Data Bank.
o Ability to collaborate with multiple functions in a highly matrixed organization.
o Ability to fluctuate between high-level analysis and granular, detailed analysis & presentation.
o Strong technical reading skills, ability to read, understand and amend legal agreements, reports and various other technical documents.

Travel: Domestic and International Travel required per business needs
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. according to company policy.
