UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a full-time (40hr) Director of Behavioral Health Services for Children to lead the managerial and administrative aspects of multiple BHS Community Based Programs, BHS Outpatient Services, and other departments that provide children's behavioral health services to ensure consumer needs, UCFS policies, standards, and contractual obligations are met; including program/service delivery, operating budget accountability, clinical and reflective supervision and supports, contract compliance and staff supervision. The position will also strategize and collaborate with the VP of BHS to effectively implement all children's behavioral health services throughout the agency.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervision of Program Managers and Supervisors who provide children's behavioral health services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct Outpatient and Community Based Programs activities that meet fiscal goals, comply with documentation requirements, and provide quality care to clients served.
- Manage operations of children's behavioral health services, provide relational and consultative services in UCFS and the community, serve as key contract & community liaison, develop program budgets, contracts, grant applications, policies and procedures and in the development of long-term programs and BHS strategy, growth, planning, and management.
- Create an Early Childhood Cohort that will manage, motivate and support staff to perform as a team to provide behavioral health services for children below 6 years old.
- Develop and monitor policies and procedures related to children's behavioral health services as well as prepare for and participate in site visits and audits for licensing bodies (i.e., DMHAS, DPH, DCF).
- Explore new initiatives appropriate for children's behavioral health services, present initiatives to VP of BH and assist in the preparation of grant applications.
- Keep abreast of current trends and clinical practices related to children's behavioral health services including evidence-based practices, as well as short and long-term funding and RFP opportunities to provide for BHS future implementations, may involve research, analysis, marketing, and make recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain professional competency of staff and self by providing in-service education, keeping abreast of changes in profession, reviewing credentials annually in conjunction with performance evaluations, and recommending staff for continuing education.
- Function as liaison for local and state funders and other community entities by representing UCFS in a professional and competent manner.

Requirements
- Master's Degree (MA, MS, MFT, MSW)
- 7 to 10 years professional experience, with 5 to 7 years of experience in program administration, clinical supervision and management of staff
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing, program development and budget management a must
- Prior experience with Substance Use treatment a plus
- Active CT license required: LPC, LMFT, LCSW
