Responsibilities

The Digital Design Manager is responsible for execution of comprehensive content projects for Rockstar Energy brand(s) and campaigns. This role will manage cross functional relationships and directly manage two Senior Designers - creating digital social content that supports the content strategies of the brand. The focus will be in creating industry leading content via owned and earned social channels and thematics. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior ability to drive design thinking from ideation thru concept development, refinement, and execution. Creating high quality content/design solutions by directly executing design and leveraging internal/external design resources. Deeply ingrained usage of motion graphics, animation, interactive design, UI/UX, and platform-native content creation-especially for fast-paced, social-driven storytelling.
  • Short and long form digital/social content development: Partner across disciplines within Energy business unit primarily within local design team and external suppliers to ensure design assets are developed and delivered with quality, value, and on-time. Inform and align stakeholders throughout the creative process, regularly reviewing the status of projects with appropriate leadership to verify that project expectations are met
  • As the manager of a creative team, this role will also cross functionally work on strategy and concept ideation with Digital Marketing and sports marketing team-mates. The Design Manager will be the design liason supporting the Digital Marketing Director
  • Design Project Management: Support the visual identity for the Energy portfolio (focus on Rockstar), working in collaboration and under the direction of the Digital Marketing team lead with the North America beverage Sr. Design Director
  • Generate creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) in order to visualize the desired output and share it with internal and external team members
  • Participate in research activities and effectively translate customer needs into actionable design strategy (must be able to execute those requirements into design solutions). Help drive to final design recommendations, decisions, and design approval to enable artwork execution/production phases Ensuring thorough consideration of all project variables and that the final solution will perform as planned and be relevant for fans of Rockstar brand (and, as needed, other brands and platforms within the Energy business unit)
  • Lifestyle, Design, & Culture: Responsible for staying ahead of current trends in design, fashion, music, lifestyle brands, social media, and all relevant digital platforms. Followed by the need to translate into design solutions consumer connections to elevate our brands, make them hyper-relevant and drives deep consumer love
  • External Design Network: Supports the PepsiCo Design Organization in building and cultivating a strong external design network

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on brand comms, digital/social design experience and Bachelor's Degree in Design
  • Should have full-time agency side and or client-side experience
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Motion graphics, VFX and animation capabilities/experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management - effectively influence at all levels in the organization, as well as across regions and functions
  • Strong typography skills, conceptual design skills, and design strategy experience
  • Illustration skills and photo retouching knowledge
  • Comfortable learning new software including 3D rendering applications
  • Extraordinary design taste and expertise with an excellent sense of design trends
  • Ability to work in an agile, dynamic work environment with a start-up mentality (comfortable with risk and uncertainty)
  • Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external business partners
  • Collaborative and works well with others to deliver results; keep others informed to avoid unnecessary surprises
  • Ability to multitask. Excellent time and project management skills to be able to meet project deadlines
