The Role
Kyndryl is seeking a Director, HR to support the growth and transformation of the Canadian organization within the Group President's global model. This role is for a seasoned human resources professional who is a proven, high-caliber leader in the HR field, who understands the key role of HR as a business partner in a global, highly matrixed, and complex organization. The candidate will have successfully supported organizational transformation through developing the case for change and supported senior leadership in driving cultural engagement against a compelling HR strategy. This role is for a leader with a growth mindset who can operate well beyond his/her own functional area, combining strategic and analytical perspectives and possibilities with a pragmatic, commercial and action-oriented approach.
S/he will be a key member of the Country President's leadership team locally and report directly to the SVP HR for the global Group President organization. S/he will provide end-to-end leadership for all aspects of the people function including talent management, succession planning, learning and development, talent acquisition, compensation, employee engagement and organizational development. This individual will play a critical role in guiding this key geography through organizational change and talent development. S/he will play a vital role in the ongoing growth, development, and transformation of the business, while at the same time shaping a positive culture within the organization. The right candidate has the business acumen to help shape business strategy as a member of the leadership team and will ensure that the HR strategy and interventions support the overall Kyndryl growth ambitions.
The individual in this role will be a collaborator who has demonstrated the ability to attract, develop, coach and mentor exceptionally strong talent (externally and internally). S/he will also be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing and credible local HR team, leveraging the team's strengths to take the function to the next level and enabling the business to achieve its long-term growth objectives
Key Accountabilities
Operate as a trusted advisor to the Country President and leadership team. The successful candidate will be a true partner and advisor in establishing a comprehensive Human Resources strategy aligned with organizational culture to accelerate business performance. S/he will be a thought leader in areas of leadership performance, talent and team effectiveness and will be a key support and confidante of the CP and his/her executive team to navigate a fast-moving and rapidly changing business environment.
Build and lead a world-class, holistic HR function. The Director will be accountable for setting strategy and leading a holistic HR function for Canada in line with the wider HR strategy for the organization, enabling growth of the business. S/he will set the people and culture agenda, helping to ensure that the organization has the talent, culture, and capabilities needed now and in the future. The Director will also be responsible for building and developing a high-performing HR team.
Facilitate ongoing transformation in the organization. The Director will execute key strategies by serving as a thought partner to the CP and the leadership team. S/he will support management by providing sound HR advice, counsel, direction, and decisions to ensure mind-set, competencies and skills required are aligned to Kyndryl's business strategy.
Ensure delivery excellence in HR support. This individual will bring strong execution, financial and operational experience regarding the broad HR agenda, including employee engagement, HRIS platforms, supporting delivery programs and managing HR shared services to drive a performance-based culture.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. This individual will be a key leader in ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are embedded in the ANZ strategy, and are coordinated with Kyndryl's business strategy. Key focus is on continuing to develop and ensure effective execution of the Company's DE&I Roadmap and the achievement of the Company's global diversity goals.
Drive talent management and workforce planning. This individual will have a strong focus on talent development and organizational effectiveness. This will include driving workforce planning and talent acquisition processes to identify, recruit and attract a diverse employee base, which maps well to the current and future growth requirements of the organization
