What you'll be doing...

Mentor and coach the team on API-first best practices and skills including API design, technical performance, and documentation; organize focus group sessions, trainings and newsletters to create awareness on API design, API gateway, onboarding and integrations; conduct interviews to hire product
managers and software developer to implement the API-first platform; build cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels, provide technical solutions to stakeholders, gather technical requirements, work with architects, engineers and designers to implement backend systems and software applications to develop capability map; work with stakeholders to gather information on various technical assets and capabilities; define operating model as an API-first company across strategy, planning, business, technology, and operations functions; pilot the operating model and implement changes to improve processes and technical infrastructure; work with API enablement partner to envision, design, and plan for API-first transformation; own the API-first transformation/program business case to help leadership realize its direct benefits; create innovative incentive structures to motivate the team to adopt to API-first; provide directional inputs to the API-first training efforts to ensure teams are ready for transformation; strategically roll out API-first transformation and ensure its adoption across teams; identify re-usable assets and develop APIs to promote re-use and adoption; define metrics and KPIs, identify technology solutions/tools to capture key metrics or build in-house platforms to manage integrations with various data sources, build data models, capture metrics and develop user interface for visualization; publish scorecards to leadership; champion all aspects of API- first transformation program roadmap and evangelize it at all levels, lay out and execute a plan to provide the governance and ensure compliance.

What we're looking for...

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer/developer, engineering/technical lead, or in a related/similar
position. Experience therein to include 6 years in technical product management, including end-to-end product lifecycle, roadmap development and prioritization, Agile/Scrum methodologies, market research and competitive analysis, product KPIs/metrics development, user story creation, project/program management, and team supervision; 6 years in software development life cycle, using Python, Java, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, C++, C#, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, APIs and microservices architecture, DevOps practices
and CI/CD pipelines; 5 years in gathering/prioritizing customer requirements, building/maintaining relationships with stakeholders, conducting product demos/presentations, translating customer feedback into actionable product improvement, and creating technical documentation, product specifications/requirements, user manuals and support documentation; 5 years with data analysis using SQL, data visualization tools, data
analytics frameworks, A/B testing, statistical analysis, and deriving insights from large datasets; and 4 years with User Experience (UX), including user-friendly design and usability testing, using wireframing and prototyping tools, and collaborating with UX designer to design customer facing user interfaces. Requires travel to and work from Verizon's office in Boston, MA. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
