Innovative food manufacturer recognized for enhancing some of your favorite meal experiences through partnerships with well-known names in the food, food service, and retail sectors is seeking a Procurement Specialist/Buyer. This role is responsible for sourcing and acquiring raw ingredients and various other materials, such as packaging and operational supplies. Position is onsite, 5 days as a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Purchasing: Identify and procure essential raw materials and supplies needed for production.
• Cost Management: Negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing and optimize costs across procurement.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensure proper stock rotation, and facilitate timely deliveries of supplies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with research and development, sales, quality assurance, logistics, and production teams to align purchasing strategies with company needs.
• Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends, ingredient availability, and changes in pricing to inform procurement decisions.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance procurement and delivery processes for greater efficiency.

Duties:

• Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with suppliers to establish contracts and pricing agreements.
• Order Management: Place orders for necessary raw materials and packaging supplies as required.
• Supplier Relations: Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable support.
• Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Data Analysis: Analyze procurement data to identify trends and enhance purchasing strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory for audit and tracking purposes.
• Reporting: Compile and present reports on purchasing performance and cost trends to stakeholders.

Candidates must a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years experience in procurement within the food & beverage manufacturing industry.
