VIZIO's Technology - Software and Services team is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting Vizio Software Products. The Software Engineer II will implement and maintain analytics software and help provide insights into engineering and business data.
What You Will Do
- Designing, coding, testing and documenting new computer systems, and applications.
- Extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends as needed, with the
subsequent ability to synthesize the data into consumable and actionable information
for the business. - Monitor data quality for cleanliness and fix discrepancies. Ensure data accuracy
through validation tasks, review data at all granular/aggregate levels, and
versioning. - Recommending improvements to design concepts and existing software
- Developing different prototypes to show the application of new technologies.
- Running and debugging existing code to determine and solve errors.
- Be involved with every stage of the application software development process.
- Help continuously improve team productivity, code quality, tool, and technology adoption.
- Working in Agile mode, which includes attending the daily status meeting with the entire team.
About You
- A minimum education level of: Bachelor's Degree
- Area of Study: Computer Science, Statistics, Data
- Years of related work experience: 3+ years
- Experience in building microservices on cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in building data pipelines.
- Experience with Kafka, SQS, SNS is preferred.
- Experience with BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with ETL tools required Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with SQL is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
