Working Days: 250 day contract
Compensation: $118,975 - $143,344
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, the Perry Middle School Principal will provide leadership and supervision in administering the school-wide culture, educational program and essential professional development of a Middle School in order to promote the educational development, growth, and achievement of students in accordance with Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules and regulations, and applicable law.
Qualifications:
Certification/License: Ohio Principal License or equivalent
Preferred Experience: Demonstrated experience and excellence as a Middle School level administrator

Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, the Perry Middle School Principal will provide leadership and supervision in administering the school-wide culture, educational program and essential professional development of a Middle School in order to promote the educational development, growth, and achievement of students in accordance with Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules and regulations, and applicable law.
Qualifications:
- Is visible in and outside of classrooms and continues to acquire professional knowledge, researched effective practices in education, and attends professional development and by conducting research.
- Develops and administers school programs consistent with school district priorities, goals and objectives.
- Leads a collaborative culture, fosters shared goals and action with excellent communication and clarity.
- Able to transform in areas where improvement is needed.
- Is human-centered, prioritizing people and relationships. Everyone matters.
- Provides leadership and direction to staff with regard to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs, including curricular and extra-curricular activities.
- Promotes a school environment that is innovative, safe, welcoming, and conducive to individualized instruction, cooperative curriculum development, and student learning.
- Ensures that Board policies and procedures are implemented and followed at the school.
- Inspires staff to continue to grow professionally and to experiment with new approaches or strategies to teaching.
- Organizes and maintains systems and data structures (e.g., time, schedules, MTSS, teaching expectations, progress monitoring software) aligned to improving and monitoring the schools greatest priorities/goals.
- Coordinates the work of school staff and school district program leaders to develop and implement instructional programs and teaching goals.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and works with teaching staff to modify instructional methods to fit students' needs, including students with special needs.
- Coordinates with the central office to collectively attain goals and align supports.
- Ability to facilitate and support professional learning communities (PLCs) with clear, measurable goals to continually develop culture and instruction/assessment excellence.
- Involves staff in the evaluation of programs and the planning of new programs.
- Inspires parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Is student-centered in decision making and meets with student advisory to improve in key areas of the school
- Supervises and evaluates teaching staff and other building employees in accordance with the school district's evaluation plan, and makes recommendations regarding goals and areas needing improvement
- Manages the school budget and school operations of the school consistent with school district policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge to lead standards-based learning.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or Designee.
