Job Description Summary
The Outage Engineering team supports the global business outage planning strategy and milestone process by providing non-standard, risk-based, and extra work outage scope recommendations. This engineering leadership role will lead the technical development of the Outage Engineering generator team and the technical input provided by the team to the business. As part of the larger Services ITR Engineering organization, the generator Principal Engineer will partner with the CTH community and the current GT Principal Engineer to drive a comprehensive technical strategy for generator outage planning. This position will work with various stakeholders across the Gas Power business including Operations, Global Ops, MYA, One Field Services, Configuration Management, Reliability Engineering, Application Engineering, Parts Engineering, Customer Service Engineering, and Product Line Management.

Pay Transparency:
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 131,700.00 - 219,300.00 USD Annual.The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15% annual performance incentive.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Drive technical rigor to maintain safe and reliable operation for the generator fleet
- Partner with other Engineering and business teams to provide consistent generator outage scope recommendations
- Effectively communicate operational issues and risk through the analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data
- Partner with other Engineering teams to continually update failure modes and risk assessments involving generator operation and reliability
- Drive the Outage Engineering quality audit process with a focus on technical accuracy
- Partner with the CTH community and maintain the TDA for generator outage engineers
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to both new and experienced engineers
- Support the development of enhancements to the Outage Scope Assessment (OSA) process and platform to improve capability and drive productivity
- Represent GE Vernova at customer meetings when necessary and provide timely technical communication to external and internal customers
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the turbomachinery or power plant domain
- Minimum of 8 years of experience directly with heavy duty generator equipment
Desired Characteristics
- Extension knowledge of the GE Vernova generator product line and/or experience in the Generator Product Line organization
- Extensive experience with generator engineering processes, tools, and technologies
- Experience in One Field Services or in a power plant equipment operations or maintenance role
- Customer focused with the ability to develop solutions
- Strong team building, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Experience with leading cross functional initiatives across global teams
- The ability to energize global teams through inclusiveness and connection with people
- Highly effective communicator with experience in presenting and interacting with different levels of leadership across the business
