Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays)
Contract Dates: 05/05/2025 - 08/31/2025
Pay Rate: $150.00/hour
US Citizenship or Authorization to Work in the U.S. required

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly specialized Data Scientist (Big Data Engineer) to support a critical Fraud Analytics Roadmap Implementation. This expert-level role is not your everyday data engineering gig-you'll be driving the creation of scalable, efficient data pipelines and laying the foundation for advanced analytics and AI automation initiatives.

This is a Specialist-level opportunity, reserved for professionals with deep technical experience, strategic thinking, and a passion for transforming how data drives decisions and protects public services.

What You'll Do:
  • Architect, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines.
  • Support data integration, ingestion, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Partner with data analysts and scientists to enable powerful insights and automated decision-making.
  • Contribute to the stand-up of modern data engineering practices aligned with a strategic analytics roadmap.
  • Utilize your expertise in Python, SQL, and Databricks on Azure (preferred) to enhance system capabilities.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and managing complex data pipelines and integration frameworks.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with Databricks on Azure strongly preferred.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Proven track record supporting enterprise-level analytics initiatives with high data volumes and security standards.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Austin, TX.
